Hello from "the ref"

Post by the ref » Sun Nov 28, 2010 7:56 pm

Hello All

My name is Billy I am from Coatbridge "left 1968" but now live in Hartlepool. I return home as often as i can to see family. I have just lost one of my brothers "Feb this year" who moved fron Hartlepool to Lochgilphead in the 70's. Anyway my current lotus is an 1998 Elise S1. My other Lotus was an 1990 M100 Elan SE, a very under rated car.

I will post some photos in the "gallery section" to night.

Billy

Hello Billy - seen the photos - car looks good!

Welcome along to SE! You will need to get up to Scotland for some real roads to drive the S1 on!!!

Cheers

Thanks for the welcome Chris, my wife and I have been "back home" many times driving many of our "old" cars. I hope to be back in the summer our north east england lotus lads are thinking of a long weekend along the Crinan canal "lochgilphead connection", and up to Oben. If I get the job of sorting the run out I will be asking for some help and advice from the SE members.

Billy

ps
glad you like the photos.

:-)

Hi Billy.

If the "north eastern" folks are fancying a run up this way, then keep us posted, we can help with route ideas and maybe some accommodation ideas (including good camp sites, if that is your thing!).

Maybe we can even join up?

Welcome aboard.

:welcome Billy.
Nice pics in gallery :thumbsup
I agree about the Élan being under rated. I had a couple in the early 90s before I moved onto Elises.
