My name's Fabien, I'm a geniune petrolhead. 12 years ago, I discorvered the Lotus phylosophy, in the passenger seat of a friend's yellow Elan M100 turbo.
Then his brother got an Elise, I loved it.
But, there was a problem... I didn't have a driving licence, I was not old enough!
Ten years ago, my parents gave me the bible: Build your own sports car for as a little as £250 and race it! I wanted a seven! And I got one!
Here it is:
Ok, it's not a true Caterham, it's a Sylva Striker, a very very fast one! 1700 kent engine, 5 speed gearbox with long first gear, limited slip diff... Mind blowing!
And it was my first car ever! I was just 19!
I had it for 5 years.
