An oldie but a newbie...

Post by sonicrisk » Wed Jul 27, 2011 5:07 am

Friends of the forum,

Just wanted to quickly re-introduce myself to the group, I'm Nick and I've been out of the Lotus fraternity for around 4 years now... crikey, how time flies!... I've been moving around the planet due to career choice and have been denied the opportunity of owning one of Hethels finest for quite some time. I've finally settled in Dubai and although there is no dealer here I managed to find one in Oman, just down the road, they have very limited stock, but they did have this... ;-)

Looking forward to catching up with old friends and making some new ones here on the forum.

Nice car they have there. You just need to see if you can organise a test drive at Yas Marina :D

UJI is indeed alive and well - through no small efforts of the SE Tech Support Crew led tirelessly, you might guess, by Herr Von Iddon :-)

Had a wobble over the last couple of years because maintenance was becoming (initially) expensive and then (latterly) time-consuming, but I think we have hit a happy medium for now. The kids (Eilidh - nearly 6; James - 4) love the Elise, are big enough to see out the window now when in the Porsche-sourced booster seat (!) and even Lisa has implored me not to sell on several occasions. Can't ask for more than that I guess.

However UJI has been told on no uncertain terms that a pre-owned Elise 1.6S is only a couple of phone calls away should the misbehaviour continue, so she's generally on her best behaviour these days!!

So am currently heading for "the only S1 in the village" status, except that Tut keeps buying up spare ones and will probably outlive me on that one :damnfunny

Are you seriously getting your new steed onto the Yas Marina track?!
