Soon to be in and around Elgin...

...sort of.

Howdy all!

So I wear green and the missus light blue, she's been promoted and hence posted to Lossiemouth when she gets back from sandier climes at the end of April. Problem is I'm based in Nottingham for the foreseeable. That means a 20 hour, £150 return trip by car or a flight from Birmingham at the same price, not practical for the Elise...! She's moving in to an RAF house with the boy and I'll come up once a fortnight by air so the car's going back in the garage again and only on the road the odd weekend day.

Anyway, where's good to drive around that way, where are the good independents for work/servicing, etc, etc? The usual questions! :thumbsup Been lucky so far - regular customer at Phoenix in Accrington, having been posted to Preston and York the last few years. You'll see me knocking around on NORLOG, NYLOC and MLOC too... :cheers

Welcome Dave. Being a lowlander, I can't give any specific advice for good driving roads, but you'll be spoilt for choice up that way.

Hi Dave, welcome to Scottish_Elises. I presume that translates as a pongo and a brylcream girl? :D

I am not too far South of you in Old Deer, and there are some great back road runs in the area.

Hi Dave,

lots of choice. best to take the A941 south out of Elgin and head for the hills. Plenty of good roads around Dufftown, Grantown & back down to the coast
One suggested route.

Welcome to the area.

Hi Dave, and welcome. Im just outside Elgin near Lossie, plenty of good roads in the area suited to the Elise, and can point you in the right direction motor trade wise too if needed as I had been in it for 25 years locally until recently.
Cheers
Stevie
