Hello,
I have done the TVR (4) thing, 911 and XKR recently but admired Lotus from afar. Europa is stunning but I need some top off motoring so should collect my supercharged Elise next week.
Look forward to a few waves and flashes of lights in Galloway or touring afar.
regards Donald

Sure you will enjoy it as you have some cracking roads in Galloway, remember to post up pics when you get it.

Hi,
Many thanks for the welcomes.
Well the Elise never materialised thanks to Murray Motors who after agreeing the sale sold it to someone else! Must have been fate as I then bought an Exige S. Very low mileage example which I collected in Milan. Safron yellow 57. I was assured the rear tyres were bad but had enough tread to get me back to Youkay. He lied but apart from that the car was better than advertised with a Sport pack and adjustable damper upgrade. So driving through Swiss mountains and French payages in rain on slick AD48 Yokos concentrated the mind somewhat! Lipscomb did an MOT on arrival in Kent and were awesome. Even found me some tyres to get me home, now ordered AD08s from Adams and Page at a very good price with free delivery. Lipscomb did an MOT and I was even driven to DVLA to get tax as the car was still UK registered but had been in Italy for a couple of years. Clean bill of health and then back to Scotland. I have now done a soft top conversion for next years touring. Ordered a 260 Cup roof "Mohawk" and may spray it car colour or leave it black. Harness ordered from Schroth even though I do not do track days. I made a TVT T35oT short wheel base once and had fitted harnesses only 40 minutes before so I love harnesses.
MY TVR history hyas been Chimaera 400, Griffith 500 and two T350Ts but they were 4.0 sagaris engined.
Loveing the Exige, have backed off the suspension to try and keep my fillings in a little longer.
SLS did a service for me and now once I get the AD08s on should be able to use in all but snow and ice.
The roads in Dumfries and Galloway are beautiful and just tow mobile cameras.
Yes we have some great campsites and with a bit of breeze few midges.
Look forward to meeting some other Lotus owners, The TVR club were very sociable.
I also have some pals in Holland with Lotus who are headed over here soon after they did a trip to Skye in the summer.
Keep her lit!
Donald

Similarly, when I go for solo runs, it's down the Galloway loop. 2 wheels these days though.
