Hi from Dunblane

Hi from a non Elise owner I am afraid. I have been a lurker for a while as not enough time really for 2 forums. I am mainly on The Lotus Forums with the same login name and I am the joint regional organiser with Bingoking for the LEGS section for those who cruise both sites. Also go along to the Club Lotus nights at Grangemouth when home.
Had to join up here as my car, or more accurately my last car, is the centre of the SE December 2012 calendar shot taken at the Rest & be Thankful!

The Aquamarine Evora with the 0007 number. It was a LE car 2+2 but I'm now now onto an Ardent red car 2+0 with CR g'box, sports exhaust and the de-cat kit and a few painted bits. (same number) Much nicer and a proper colour. Sounds the dogs preverbials now.
Job takes me out of the country and offshore more than at home these days so don't get to play with the toys as much as I'd like but if you see me around central belt, or I am up & down to Aberdeen a lot, say hi.
Lookin' forward to spending some more time on here.
Al.

I wouldn't worry about not owning an Elise - there are one or two of us with other Loti and Evoras are taking over the world ( well Scotland anyway).

Hi
I'm wondering if I've got your Aquamarine Evora?

Hi everybody and thanks for the warm welcomes.
@flyingscot68 It is a long story as I actually had 2. If it is a genuine LE with the door sill plate then there were 2 cars the exact same spec. #2 and #3 into Scotland and registered late Sept 09. I was #3 and have the cert of provenance from lotus for it showing it to be the 13th car down the production line. It ended up back down south I believe. PM me the VIN and I'll let you know. The other car was from S side of Glasgow and also traded and sold via MMC but much less miles than mine. I would recognise the first owners name if you PM'd it from the V5 as we did the Factory Tour and lunch together 9 months before car was launched. I then had an identical spec 2nd one that I swapped for the red one in February and it was with MMC for a while after that. I left the black forged wheels on it as I preferred the standard alloys design.
@Kayfur I have seen you around only once or twice (can't miss that kryptonite!) and I think each time in my other car which was a black Murano an now a white Evoque Si4 since Feb (It is an Evo thing!!) It is also on a private plate starting A9 if you ever see it about. Say hi again. (usually @ M&S as SHMBO is never away from the place) I am at knockhill a lot even if only for marshalling as I am on the Rescue Units at race meetings and hot hatch days when at home. I also know Gedi from Dunblane on here and TLF. We are in the same line of work. He had a S2 SC until he rearranged the armco in the rain just down fom Keir roundabout.

Hopefully you will make the Flying meet at Perth next year if we do it again

I bought mine from MMC in July, it's Aquamarine with the dark forged wheels, guess it was your second one.
I've had the decat done, sounds much better

Certainly sounds like it is my second one. If you have a passenger vanity mirror it will be, as that wasn't standard on that age of car. (I know, I know, but trying to pick something easily seen!) Anyway my name should be last owner on the V5 I guess!
The De-cat kit is SO much better a sound for sure! The transformation from the original standard exhaust to sports exhaust and de-cat mix is vast. Any louder would be antisocial IMO and also tiring on longer journeys which I do reasonably frequently.
