Mini McDonald

Post by ceejam » Fri Dec 21, 2012 11:07 pm

Some of you may have seen my posts on Facebook (sorry Campbell ;) )

Rory David McDonald was born last Saturday at 1108am. He was 8lb 10oz and 57cm.

Turns out he's Coombs positive, his blood group is different from his Mum's, which led to a high level of Jaundice - Having your 4 day old child whisked away to Special Care Baby Unit certainly puts things in perspective!

Anyway, he's home now and the four of us are all together.

I think I might be the happiest / proudest / most relieved man in the world tonight!

Here he is with his big sister & Mum last Sunday before we found out about his jaundice and thought we were about to be discharged!

Cheers for now
Jamie

With you on all that, Jamie. Apart from the Facebook thing. I have a twitter login...does that count?!

The girls and new boy look great in your pic. Serious congrats. What a Christmas present :-)

Congratulations family McDonald!

It's horrible if your child is disappeared out through the doors of the delivery room by a gaggle of concerned doctors. Glad to hear he's a strongen' and doing well.

:-D

Thanks for all the good wishes! His first night at home was great!

He woke at 2am, had a good feed then had to be woken at 6!

He's been so chilled in the house today - quite happy being awake and watching what's going on.
His big sister is doing really well too, taking it all in her stride!

Not counting chickens yet, but he seems a happy & contented wee man so far!

Enjoy the honeymoon period, Jamie...you have probably forgotten that once the wee mites have slept off the trauma of the birth, they soon find their "personality" and expect the world to revolve around them ;-)

So...ENJOY the silence!
