Hello to everyone.
My name's Rich and i am soon to be (with a bit of luck) a fully fleadged member of your gang. I'm just writting to introduce my self and to say thanks to the guys I met on Sunday at the Doune Hillclimb, top blokes.
As you will have gathered from the heading, I've no previous experience of the elise so any advise on the basic "do's/don't" would be appreciated as would any info on how to improve the car without killing the insurance.
best wishes
Rich
P.S. I ain't used one of these forms before so please excuse numpty behaviour. Can anyone tell me how to post an image against your posts?

what do we reckon it is.....
Can't be a brand new S...... Craig would've had his if it was
Can't be an Exige - would've been a more apologetic entrance
S1? S2? What do we reckon?

I got loads of advice from these very helpful guys when I bought my first Elise not that long ago:
http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/vie ... php?t=2981
Have a read through that and I'm sure you'll find loads of hints/tips.
My biggest bit of advice: take it easy in the wet!

2009 Mini Cooper, Midnight Black
2008 Elise S, Solar Yellow

Hey Rich, glad you found us. One more sleep until you pick it up
It was me who talked cr@p to you for half an hour whilst you were strapped into my car waiting for our trip up the hill - obvioulsy at a much slower speed than you are used to
Cheers
Stewart
P.S.
When Mac arrives be sure to ask him about his PTP kit as I know you are interested.

Hi all
With regards to model/type etc. it's an S2 sports tourer with the only downside being it's a rather girly Ruby Red. The girl friend likes it!?
The bummer now is my friends at Murray Lotus have managed to cock up the delivery date, so having just booked to take of a long weekend off work to enjoy the virtues of dodging the local Feds. I will now have to make do with starring at the carcass of me single seater which has lived in the garage for the last 18 months.
However, I anyone is interested, I believe there is a fun day at the forrestburn hillclimb track on sunday. Usually it costs £10 for MSCC members and around £25 for non members. It's always a good chance to give ur car a good trashing knowing that u ain't going to find some loony flying towards you. Anyone interstested should look up the monklands sporting car club site for details.
