New Black Sport 160

Post by daveb99 » Tue Feb 18, 2014 2:59 pm

My first post here, great forum!

After ten years of driving bland cars, following the sale of my S1 111S (wish I still had it...) I am purchasing a black S1 Sport 160 which is up for sale in Edinburgh (well it is sold to me, pending viewing etc!).

I believe the previous owner bought it last summer via Scott Walkers, and is a member on here according to SELOC (and now the proud owner of an Evora S 8) ) so it would be great to get in touch - always useful to hear about the good and bad and what to look out for etc.

I've spoken to Scott Walker (who has sold it twice) and the owner before last, and it seems to be a good clean car, so would love to get this confirmed by the last owner too :thumbsup

The car is at Murray's Lotus, reg Y132 FVW. Please get in touch..

I was looking at that in Murrays the other day.
Looks very well looked after and in great condition.
Nice one :-)

Cammy on here.

Not the most prolific poster (but been around SE longer than most) so you might be better to find his name in the Member list and PM him.

Welcome on board - lovely car :)

Edit - just found the thread where he was looking at his new car - http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/vie ... =2&t=37919

Thanks guys. They're certainly getting quite rare and hard to find in top condition.

I've now sent Cammy (Callum I believe) a message so hopefully will hear back.

Looking forward to Saturday, and that oh-so uneven idle !

Thanks all - I've had a reply from Cammy, which has been very helpful. Sounds like the car is a belter.

Roll on Saturday :D

It's on an emerald buddy so no such delightful burble.... That is the thing I liked best about the 160 to be honest, I test drove one back in 2000 and loved the idle and character it gave the car! :thumbsup

Well apparently the Emerald has a map on it that retains a fair bit of the uneven idle - guess I'll find out on Saturday!

Priceless. Emerald in "switch to lumpy idle" mode! Better than "push to pass", eh :-)

Welcome, Dave.
