newbie - aberdeenshire
I was instructed to come register here, those who know make yourselves known!
I have been a memeber for a while, lurked for a long time and constantly talked myself out of Lotus ownership.
But picked up a nice low mile, magnetic blue 111s last week, smitten.
Sucessfully broke it within 24 hours, the Multifunction relay wasn't on any mount and founds its way to the drive shaft which promptly ate it. So eliseparts have already received two orders from me, new MFRU and an all seasons car cover.
Fixed the MFRU, which doenst have any obvious bracket to ziptied it up out the way of the rain, and covered about 200 miles so far. Mainly laughing at the corner speeds. Although do need a trip to knockhill to learn this cars limits. I missed the SIDC day for erm tonight i think, any of you lot make the SIDC days. I have attended a few in the past.

Welcome on board.
Yep, there's usually a good contingent of the usual suspects at SIDC days. Check the trackday forum as I'm sure there's still a few of the rescheduled evening spots left, after the last one was cancelled due to fog.

Welcome along to Scottish_Elises and congrats on the new car. I get lost on the model numbers nowadays, is a 111S an S1 or S2.
The MFRU on mine slots onto a clip on the left hand side of the engine bay. Put you location in on your profile, it will help you if you want to meet up on get togethers, road runs, etc.
We are at KH this evening, so if you were able to come along you would meet a few of the regulars on here, and get out for pax laps.

ah, i have come to the right place! It is indeed an S2 111S K series.
I live in Insch, Aberdeenshire, have met tut a few times before.
I spoke to Jon @ SIDC about a space for tonight, but i bottled it, just not used to the car yet, but on the reserves for the next one. Been a TrackScotland regular for a few years. Was due to get a passenger from tut last time then watched him shut his fingers in the door, looked bloody sore!
Perhaps being a bit thick (possible) i spent ages trying to find said clip... utterly nothing visible, can see the shape and size it needs to be from the female connection on the MFRU, but opted to zip tie it an aluminum bracket on the offside underside of boot. I also now sport a bruise on my head when the arm that holds up the boot got knocked by my elbow whilst contorting and twatted me on the forehead...
slightly worn MFRU!

I dont doubt it, will wear a headband from now on!
oh one other nuance, i was, ahem pressing on yesterday going for run some testing allowed the stereo faceplate to unmount itself and then wedge itself firmly under the passenger seat. Cant reach it, but its unwanted weight anyway, but i did find a manual for a Nikon D3200...
right balance between quirky and fun!
