Newbie and looking!

Post by EthanCrawford » Wed Apr 29, 2015 7:32 am

Hi guys and gals
I am Ethan from Aberdeenshire thought I would join and introduce myself after being recommended this forum buy a few friends who i have been speaking to about getting an Elise.
I have been looking to get myself an Elise for a while now but not knowing what model but think I have finally decided on an S1 Elise so the hunt is on!
I used to be a regular on a few detailing forums so some might recognise the name from there but came away from them as the ended up just being very negative ect.
Been looking on here the past few days some gd banter going about so looking forward to joining in. But only thing is lack of S1's for sale haha :D

Cheers

Ethan

Can't knock your choice of car!

Best bet is to get out there and see as many/ drive as many as you can. Finding one is all part of the fun.

:cheers

Hi Ethan, welcome to Scottish_Elises, the first step to the best part of your life. :welcome

Both those cars look good bets at first sight, I am biased as I had two Azure blue S1's and that one looks a beauty. The other has an impeccable service record, but as usual they are at the opposite end of the Country. However I bought both of mine unseen privately from Berkshire and it can work out if you do your homework and get a good seller. The present N3 likewise unseen from Bath, but it had a 12 page rebuild history posted on SELOC and 350hp. What could not work out?

Hi tut
Thanks for the welcome. That sounds gd but I have been disappointed of late with cars online saying the are the dogs balls and going to see them then they are no where near the hype they made online ( not lotus by the way) so trying to get one from a owner on a forum hopefully will work out best.

I have been tempted by a few s1 exgies this one in most

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... 01/3683982

I believe the owner is on here?
Just not sure if I can stretch that far as budget is 20k at the moment

Hi mxvx
I am a detailing but so will hopefully be posting some good stuff up here when I get a lotus :D
