Newbie (returning after a long time away) Dundee/Angus

Post by FabCab7 » Fri Jul 10, 2015 9:44 am

Hi,

Was on the forum under Dundeesfinest a while back but forgot my details and the car has been off the road for a long time. Currently looking to get it back up and running after 15 months sitting idle. Lotus Elise Type 23 with the K Series engine on an 03 plate.

Quick question to start with;

Would a 111R back box (usually for a toyota engine) fit onto the K Series that I have?

Thank you for your help and advice as always.

I don't think that the Toyota and the Rover 'K' exhaust are the same at all, so it would not fit. Different points of exit for the tail pipes. Toyota engined cars exhaust exits in the lower centre at diffuser level.

:welcome back.

Steve is right, Toyota exhaust will not fit a K-Series car. :thumbsup

I believe a Toyota has a different set-up entirely, however an MG TF back box is, I think, the same as the standard Lotus item.
