Hello from Midlothian

Hello folks,
I used to drive a ruby red S1 Elise but after almost 10 years abstinence I found that Elise ownership was an itch that had to be scratched again. Advancing years meant that my next Elise needed to be subtle and understated so I now own a blue S2 Sports Racer with a Larini sports exhaust :D Driving it is an absolute blast and the sound, especially "on cam", is addictive. Haven't seen many Elises in my neck of the woods over the summer but I did see a couple of VX220s this weekend.
All the best
Harvey Tait

There's a name I remember from the dim and distant past...

Welcome back Harvey!

Good to see you back Harvey, you used to be a regular poster on S_E1 and join in on runs with us, but I don't think you moved over to S_E2 as you last post was October 2005.

"Hi Stu,

Just got back from the Planet Zarg......
The car's been off the road over the summer, HGF brought on I think
by cooling problems last year. I'll be working on her over the next
couple of months as funds/time allow, hopefully with a bit more
power. At the moment I'm having to fulfil my need for speed by
thrashing the nuts off a diesel Astra.

Cheers
Harvey"

Hello Tut,

Good to hear from you. Wow, I remember writing that post, times flies. Things didn't quite work out the way I planned but I always knew I'd be back in the driving seat of an Elise sometime. I think the last SE run I was on was a camping trip to Mull with my brother, seem to remember getting eaten alive by midgies as we packed our tents in the morning at a campsite near Craignure. Those runs were excellent.

Was off work today and spent much of it on the local back roads, still buzzing. So good to have that "Elise" feeling again after 40-50k miles a year in Mondeos and Insignias. I'd forgotten just how much your senses are dulled in a modern eurobox. Have spent some time over the weekend looking through random posts, looks like it has been an eventful few years!

Cheers
Harvey

:welcome back. I think I remember that Mull camping trip... We got deliberately held up by some do-gooder who wouldn't use the passing places, and Tut shouted at him and called his wife "f*cking ugly".

(oh yeah, and then I crashed the next day...)

Welcome back Harvey, I remember your car well. One of the first laps I ever did round KH was a pax in your old S1.
