Hi folks,
just bought Craig Stewart's S1 Elise 135 Sport (user craigs135 - he's going to have to change that now!) and he mentioned this forum as a good source of info and banter.
I've been into cars most of my life and had a succession of unusual ones - Matra Murena, Nissan Figaro and Pao but never got over the test drive I had of an Elise S1 the year they were launched. So - nearly 10 years later, I've finally got one! And apart from the stone chips it seems a pretty nice drive and faster than I remember (mind you - it does have a bit more poke being a Sport version).
It currently shares the garage with my other sporty motor, a replica 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder with Alfa 1.5 power.
Well - I'm off to post my first question to all you Elise experts in the General Chat forum.
Cheers,
Alasdair.

Baggy and Gareth,
By a very strange coincidence the family home is still on Hilltop Road (my Mum's still there) so I know Cults very well.
It's one of the neighbours who used to live there with a silver S1 Elise. He's had it for years. I believe he moved away just a few month's back 'cause when I was on the hunt for my car I was thinking of popping up to see if he was thinking of selling and then found out he had gone. Can't remember his name.

Aye, that was me. was at No 12 till about 3 months ago.
Stay in Bieldside now.
Gareth....You're geting your Alisdair & Alasdairs mixed up
definitely get in touch next time you're out that way.....I'm actually sole member of the anti social (with young kids) contingent so outings very limited..... wouldn't mind a nosey at your new purchase tho. Gareth is a far better contact for social events....

Baggy,
Will certainly pop by sometime in the future with the 135 if I am in the area.
I've got a 3 year-old myself so I know how much they curtail your social life!
