Hello

Post by spaced_chris » Sun Nov 19, 2006 3:25 pm

Thought I'd say hello as I have just registered. Some of you may remember me from last weekend at KH driving the black 350z. I had a superb time (first time on track in my own car); shame about the weather, but hey, made way for some tail happy moments 8) Hope to make it back up next year.

 @ your TT comment.

I'm really over the moon with it. Sounds much better with the high-flow CAT in place. The only downside is the blinkin Nissan dealerships. They are awful!!!

Mind, I wouldn't mind owning a Lotus at some point too. I've been highly impressed by Kenny's Exige.

Welcome!

We could simulate owning an elise if you want, drill a couple of holes in the roof, take out all the carpet, block up the heater, chuck some marbles in the boot and take all the padding from your seats

Lotus Dealers have their moments too (though I hasten to add, I've always found pretty decent service, personally...just gotta ensure a decent tech department when selecting one).

As for owning a Lotus, I think you might struggle with the rawness...the 350 is surely a pretty refined and robust car. A Lotus, OTOH, is an absolute blast and the closest thing to "thought-controlled motoring" I think you can get...but you gotta be committed to run one past its warranty period ;-)

I know what you mean Campbell. I really like the refinement of the 350z, and its nice to have the toys, heated seats etc. How I'd take to something which is stripped out on a full time basis, I'm not fully sure, but I did really enjoy having a blast of the Exige, although I wish I had been able to heel and toe.... I could feel the car jurting forward on changing gear! I'd need to be a lot smoother. :?
