Once Craig gets a free day we're not both working, he might actually show me his new car
If a run develops and its not Image, then i'll give you a shout!

Hi what do you think of the VXT have you done any tuning
VXT is :D (although I used to have an NA and they are great too). The mahoosively torquey nature of the engine is great on the road. Downside is that it's a bit more lardy at the back and so less of a track animal in standard form (most of this can be corrected with suspension or tyre changes though, and anyway I'm a cr*p driver so I've been investing in driver training first :) ).

I have a TMS stage one (remap) and a full Miltek exhaust. The stage 1 is well worth it as it eliminates the horrible flat spot in the standard map. Miltek adds a few bhp and sounds good and just generally makes the car breathe better IMO. A cheap upgrade is to change the standard "suicide" pads to Mintex 1144s (I have these), or Pagid RS14s if you do a lot of track stuff.

Note you can go pretty bonkers with straight line speed on the VXT if you want to - 280hp+ - but this gets v. expensive and is arguably overkill for the road + then you really need brake/suspension upgrades at the same time... Loads of info at http://www.vx220.org.uk if you haven't already stopped in there.

BTW - if this is your first winter with a VXT be careful on wet roundabouts which are a traditional VXT graveyard. The torque can easily catch you out if you do something silly with the loud pedal on a corner. There are many threads on the VX website around this time of year with posts like "Just stacked it coming off a roundabout - gave it some beans in second and suddenly I was going backwards..."
