Hello i was sent this link from the scottish type r forum .

Just a wee bit of background on my self, i own a nhb civic type r and im very happy with it . However my brother in law is having trouble sourcing a decent early elise for himself.
His budget is circa 10 thousand , hes had insurance quotes and is 100 percent serious.
We had a look at w reg yellow elise at Mount Vernon on sunday.
There were a few worrying niggles such as the last stamp in the history was at 30000 miles , the car had covered in all 54000!

If any one could point us in the correct path we would be mucho appreciated as it seems all the elises seem to be south of the border.

Thank you.

Welcome traffman.

There are sometimes cars for sale appearing here, in the classified section. Other option lots of people use is Piston Heads.

And don't be too put off by having to go down south to buy one, a bit of research will soon find out if it's a 'known' car.

The yellow 111s at mount vernon has been for sale for ages (6+ months) they have had it for a couple but it sat at the Arnold Clark on Georges road for about 4 months.

So maybe a deal to be done (it started off at 12995).

Pistonheads is the way forward though.

Thanks for all your help , however after a concentrated research on pistonheads we found one in Morningside.
It had been posted 1 minute before my brother in law contacted the chap about it.
Went tonite to see it , its mint with full Murray service history 49000 miles with 4 previous owners .
New ebc discs an pads all round , yokohama tyres , an so on.
Will pop some pictures up after weve picked her up tommorow.
