Hurricane cleaning

Post by simon » Thu Jun 21, 2007 1:25 pm

Think I should probably clean my hurricane out after the amount of dust on TT so was gonna do it tonight before KH tomorrow. Will the K&N cleaner and oil do if I can get it from halfrauds or should I wait and order the stuff from EliseShop?

Simon

I have just done both of mine, not sure what is recommended, but I scrub mine well in a bowl of soapy water until it is a clear green colour again and you can see through the mesh from the inside, dry it, then a single spray with "Green" air filter oil, but any purpose brand one would do.

K&N cleaner kit (cleaner stuff and recharge oil) from Halfrauds. Lasts many cleans. Job's a good-un!

Hard at work here

As Tut, good soak in soapy water and a bit of a scrub with an old tooth brush to shift the crud
