That may or may not work on an S1 - the S2 and S1 stacks are different beasts - however, it's worth a try!

Cheers James....will try this before the hammer therapy :thumbsup

Btw where exactly is that alarm sensor? All I've found between the seats is £57 in assorted loose change

Ah - I was labouring under the misapprehension that your car was an S1 - looking at your avatar more closely I note it's an S2.

So (a) the stack reset with the door open and button press thing might achieve something and (b) the microwave sensor is behind the black plastic trim on the bulkhead to the engine bay.

It's also less likely to be the culprit!

Is your car a normal K or a VVC (assuming it is not a 111R).

Cheers,
Robin

The sage in 'makes a mistake' shocker? Hold the front page :D

Thanks Robin.

(Just a std 120 K- does this make a difference?)

The VVC may have had another use for that red light, but on the normal K it's the shift up light and alarm tell tale and nothing else.

Constant blinking probably means "I'm shagged" and may well be to do with the microwave sensor being dislodged.

Cheers,
Robin
