NLC - adhesive to join plastic and wood

Post by campbell » Fri Jul 27, 2007 9:50 am

I've got a wee manual coffee grinder, whose bean hopper / grinder mech joins to the wooden grinds pot via a plastic collar.

Unfortunately following 6 months of regular grinding ;-) the collar has parted company with the grinds pot rendering poor thing useless.

Looks like it was originally glued with some kind of thin impact adhesive like Evo-Stik...anyone got any recommendations?

I had ruled out Evo-Stik for the repair since it appeared so ineffective first time around ;-)

I'd go for araldite then - but buy it in the syringe type thing that premixes it as you use it - otherwise it's a pITA
