Steering Gators

Post by H8OAG » Fri Aug 17, 2007 9:59 am

Got the car in bits for an inspection.........after reading about all the FF6 bearing/clutch/shaft /bladder/ problems.

Shopping list so far......

nsf wheel bearing
osf track rod end
os steering gator
brake pads all round

How do you fit the new gator as there does not appear to be a lot of access?
Is it permissable to slip a new gator over the original and cable tie/clip\it :?:

Thanks for the offer..
Geary supplies the steering gator in pairs for £13 :D

After Shug's top tip.....Have made up a dowel on the end of a bamboo cane.....I am calling it Malcolm (pathetic Malcom McDowel joke)

A quick word about Geary's gaiters. You will find the cable ties inside one of them.
I only found this out when I put the second one on and the cable ties fell out of it  I had just spent an age scraping about trying to find ties for the first one

I used universal ones
