Has anyone fitted a central locking kit into an Elise/Exige? Any kits recommended? Costs?

for my boot it was all in the bracket design. I don't know hat the kit is like I just bought myself a 2 wire actuator and mounted it. wiring it upto a switch next to the fag lighterYvoTuk wrote:Problem in the Elise / Exige are the doors. They are very tight, so it's kind of a challenge to design the brackets..
Did you break your key?
robins probably got the best idea, god only knows how many people don't know how to open the door or shut it! plus if someone wants in they will get in just think how you would get in if you locked your keys inside.

True, true... I've done three designs so far and I've had a look at a competitors
design. Not happy yet with either of them
Basically, I don't want it to protrude in any way, so what I'd really like it to do kind of a bend under the lock which enables you to place the attuator completely under the bodywork instead of it poking into the boot / bootbag.
I will do a kit with and a kit without a remote control in a few months time. The one with the remote will have a small transmitter for your key fob. Push the button and pop the hood

I would be interested in a kit for the doors and the boot (with remote control)!!YvoTuk wrote:True, true... I've done three designs so far and I've had a look at a competitorsdesign. Not happy yet with either of them
