...an 04 elise S? Not the current 'S'- it's the 120hp k series with the woofter pack option (sound deadening/leccy windows etc).
I'm trying to establish whether the dash heater controls should illuminate.
Was sure they did when I first got it, and thought the bulb had gone.
Now it's been stripped there doesn't seem to be any wiring etc for it.....have I been at the wacky baccy again?

I had an 03 k series Elise S - as far as I can remember heater controls didn't illuminate. Keith

If it helps here is a pic of my MY04 111s. The heater panel is internally illuminated.
The power gets to it via the metal ribbon which plugs in to the black box . The red arrow points to it.
Came of very easy and is full of sand on mine

You probably stole 'em in a fit of jealousy for the S1...you were spotted skulking about while my car was in bits after all...ah....it's all becoming clear

I'm beginning to doubt my sanity now

Bert
There's a rocker switch just above the controls - 3 positions
1 - On
2 - Off
3 - on when the door's open
They don't illuminate themselves.
Cheers

Yep, at least you lucky S2 owners have an interior light that doubles as heater illumination! Us S1 lowlies have to do it by feel...

S1 heater control systems are more advanced, they move cold and also warm air
