door locks playing up

Post by mainsy » Sun Dec 16, 2007 12:04 pm

When i try to open the doors with the key the barrel pushes in not letting the key in. then when i wiggle it to ease it in it sometimes wont turn. other times its no bother. is this a common fault which is easy fixed :) or im i looking at changing the barrells?

WD40 to penetrate the lock and free it up, then possibly some oil as WD40 will evaporate.

or is it your locks freezing up ?

dont think so, its been playing up for a wee while now. yeah was gonna try some wd40, magical stuff, seems to fix everything. I used it to fix my mobile, was a sony ericsson jobbie with the joystick, stopped working. quick spray, left it for a day and hey presto!!
