Always used to run Goodyear F1's on my Mercs, E classes and C classes.

:withstupid

Ran them on my audis too & converted my office to running their cars on em too... Preference seems to be the XL versions with the stiffer sidewalls, but for a comfy merc the normal ones might be better.
Arriving broadside, in a cloud of smoke......

Any tyres with softer sidewalls for the E class or you will notice the degradation in the ride. Do not be tempted to purchase big rim/tyre combos on ebay. Anything over 18" makes the car tramline like f*ck

Big diff or much diff in dropping from 235/55 to a 50 ?

Also any comments on the SP9000 ? 12,000 a year on them so worth asking.

Off to find some Goodyear pricing, amazing how posting to a list about checking tyres and frosty weather makes you get on with your own housekeeping.

I had SP9000's on my 350z. Couldn't fault them. 8)

Not too bad on track either but excellent in the wet. :D

I run whatever is the cheapest on my diesel work hack, usually Falken FK452's (not the 512's as they are very bad) or Avon ZZ3's which seem pretty good. 8)

If you can get the Dunlops at that price though I'd rate them better than the Falken or Avons.

I've just bought some Yokohama Parada Spec 2's for the Fiesta... immediately tried to find out if I could get them in Lotus sizes, but alas, it seems not (which is a shame as they seem a good compromise between road/track).
I have no signature.
