S2 Heating control dial does nothing!

I have a heating control on my S2 Exige (no air con) and it either blasts all cold air no matter where you turn the knob or all full hot air no matter where you turn the knob. nothing in between.

The heat seems to disappear when its been very wet and then randomly comes back again when it feels like it. Any idea whats up? Dial problem or something up with the heater itself? when i got the car from MMC the fan and heater were broken so they replaced the "unit".....didnt ask too much about it to be honest. This a know exige problem?

Heater matrix failing is a common problem, if the heat is coming and going then it may be something else.

yeah - mostly its full on heat but it has days when it just blows cold! random and annoying.....prob get it replaced on MMC warranty
