Shiona has a Belkin Tunebase that has worked very well in everything we've tried it in. We haven't been able to try it in the Elise yet as the headunit has packed in

You're very welcome to pop over and try it out before you buy it. It's £60 in Halfords, £20 in Costco or £9.99 at

Just ordered one of these tonight seeing we need a new headunit

Should do the job just fine seeing the manifold, race cat and Janspeed box kind of drown everything else out anyway!

nod! currently using my mini ipod and a set of noise reducing earphones ;-p
wonder if the blaupunkt with pick up an FM transmitter - will experiment with a mates one.
Also have it direct from an email from the Parrot UK Director Chris Roberts that the RK8200 will be available late March early April. £150 well spent I reckon.

Think a few of will be buying in one. My old Kenwood (first MP3 model they had IIRC) has taken a bashing over the years.

I've got an Alpine head unit that only has an ipod connection and a radio. No CD! I think it ace, easy to use and it sounds really good. The screen is pretty much like an ipod screen when you scroll through the albums/songs etc. You can buy a blue tooth module for it to so you can connect your phone.
Same as this...

I've just got the wire hanging down just now from behind the dash and I tuck the Ipod into the pouch beside the gearstick. The cable is long enough to get run to anywhere in the car. What I was going to do is valcro the ipod under the dash where it would be out of sight to any chavs that might want to steal it. I never take it out my car unless I'm uploading song on to and once its connected it fully controlable from the head unit so there is no need to see it.

I have this one
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine- ... -5140.html
and it works great. Nano is kept on the dashboard face down and I use the head unit to search and control the playback.
Tried an FM transmitter and it was rubbish and also means you need to use the ipod to contol playback.

Will get one ordered up from that link Sanjoy, I take it thats the cheapest you have seen them (or is that a daft question)
Alpine one looks nicer but the problem I have with it is that the ipod doesnt go inside, Parrot one is really neat in that respect.
