Ticking Column Pug 306

Post by Blaque » Tue Jan 22, 2008 10:06 am

Next Question,

Thought I'd consult the gurus as their seems to be a few 306 owners amongst us here. Any help appreciated.

P reg Pug 306 Turbo-D (New Shape  )
There is an intermitant and random clicking coming from the right-hand side of the stearing column. A bit like the warning sound you get when one of the indicators is duff, and on one occasion a wisp of smoke and the smell of hot Scalectrix

Any ideas on what it might be, and parts needed to fix?

Cheers

Is there anyway of telling which one might be faulty?

My 406 coupe would occasionally refuse to allow me to switch off the radio. I just had to turn it down and hope it didn't flatten the battery too much.

Also it occasioanally immobilize itself at petrol stations for some reason. It would wait for me to stop trying and get out, slamming the door in frustration, sure enough next time I tried it would work...

Also who puts a set of plugs on a flexible cable under the seat? Everytime you slid the seat forward to get to the back seat the airbag light came on.

Great car though

I never had a problem with any of my pug electrics. Then again, it was a 106 and a 306 rallye I had mostly
