On a slightly different theme... can you fit 14" on the front of the elise???
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

Metros are 13", BUT the Austin Maestro / Mostego used the same PCD (Obscure old Triupmh size), so 15" wheels are available that would fit the hubs if they are indeed the same as a Metro.

Also, MGF ones should fit?

Surely as long as they fit under the arches and over the brakes it doesn't really matter? MGF would deffo be worth a look.

Without the right PCD the holes on the wheels wont line up with the bolts though, so thats a problem if the PCD isnt right.

Aye, Funnily enough it was in the back of my mind that the Metros use a 3.75" PCD, which is 95.25mm ;)

MGF used Metro subframes, so I'm just assuming it's the same PCD. I know Maestros and TR7s are the same ;)

S1 fronts should fit on the rears ok (recommended in the workshop manual for fitting winter tyres).

You won't get 14" wheels onto the front regardless of hub & pcd as there's only a fag paper between the wheel and the caliper as it is.

you might get 14" on the back with the rear brakes being smaller. Put a front wheel on the back and gauge clearance to caliper & guess if a 14" will fit.....
