Gearbox Overhaul (NLC)

I've just bought an 95 Audi A4 TDI from my brother in law for a run around and it seems the gearbox is going, as it struggles to go into 3rd. Looking at the Audi forums it looks like the synchro. Does anybody know of somewhere in the NE that does gearbox overhauls?

I have a spare 0/16 Audi gearbox that will probably fit... It was off my porker but the synchro's are fine

I'll swap you...

Gearbox man (google it) get good reports, but they are Englandshire

There is a bloke in paisley (yes I know paisley isn't in the NE) really good he is across from the fire station next to a vet's. don't know his name or anything I'm afraid.
