When Out the in the Exige today i went to turn down the heater. I tried turning the knob to cold and it was very stiff and didnt move much any ideas whats wrong with it. (Awaits joke about stiff knobs

)

Its broken. Get another one...
Dunno how the dash comes to bits but it will somehow. The switch is probably off something rubbish like a Citron AX

Won't be the knob. It'll be the valve/flap on the heater box. Not an easy job to fix but very common.

No, you just have to strip just about everything else out of the front.
Don't try and force the heater knob round as it will just rip the cable clamp out of the top of the heater box then it'll be properly broken.

VERY wise words!!! As someone with experience of taking the dash apart, not to mention the heater matrix / heater controls, it'll be money well spent! The pain of learning your lessons 'as you go' with all three jobs, are probably not worth the money saved IMHO
