would probably recommend a search on this.

i asked the same question a while back but found the subject had been pretty well covered (round about december iirc)

i ended up getting yoko's in the end for my 2p worth

cheers

me not using the correct keywords....

all i was wanting to do is replace my back 2 with bridgestones but cant get them anywhere.....225/45 /16 111s wheel on my car.... been told that they have stopped making them????

My fronts are fine and theve been good tyres, this whole tyre thing is a can of worms....

up untill a few days ago they were just the black bits on top of the wheels.... now my head is burstin....

ive got T1r's on the rear and Advans on the front.
Ran this set-up all last year on 340r Track Geometry and ive had no problems whatsoever.

I bought a new set or rears 2 weeks ago.
Depends on what you want to do. mixing tyres is not recommended if you track the car often... i done 2 trackdays last year and a walshy day as well as a several thousand miles. The toyos done me proud.

Ideally I would have bought new Advans all round, but cant justify the cost for this as every time i get some spare cash together my engine pops or my engine mount snaps or my fuel pump breaks or my fuel tank gets clogged up...

Its your shout. The T1rs feel funny to start with as they take a little bedding in - but i recommend the dukes pass for that!

The T1S and now T1R have a lot in common with the trusty old Bridgestone SO2, IMHO. Have had them all, and very happy with VFM / performance ratio personally.

Whatever the case they are great in the wet which is when you are most likely to spade the car on less accomplished tyres.

That said, the Lotus special Yoko is very good it seems and if you like trackdays and have the cash, it's an ideal compromise.
