Yeah - been distracted of late to say the least (though have at least now got the S2 adapter PCBs back in and they look 8) ) the K4 connector fits (80 pins all properly placed without a drawing of the connector, so I was lucky not to make a mistake!).

Spot the obvious mistake - no harm done, just a bit of a funky mounting :-)

I'll struggle to get the EU2 interceptor PCB done and back between now and Donnie - your call on whether you want to make a big hand wired breadboard or wait for a PCB. Your cables and connectors are here in the hall whenever you need them.

Cheers,
Robin

And the deliberate mistake (for those of us without elec eng degrees) is...?!

Looks 8) whatever the case!

So is it for diagnostics or is it for a new ECU product? Will this make Graeme your first guinea pig, sorry, customer?!

Ding. Get that man a clapped out porsche ... no wait, he has one already :-)

Campbell, it's just an adapter to allow a non-Lotus ECU to drive the car without chopping up the loom. I have the MegaSquirt built, but there are still some incompatibilities to overcome before that will work. I really need to do the same thing for the EU2 engine (i.e. yours and Greg's ;-)) and I am working on it, honest, just slow going at the moment.

Cheers,
Robin

I'm just waiting on some compoents and will be able to make a double layer job from vero . . . digital on the bottom, analogue on the top . . . bottom is up and running and the code is ready, PC end is good enough to debug things also . . .

I'll lash up the loom part so it's reusable . . . we can hack this to validate the crank pos side of things before comitting to a specific board . . .

I had it streaming diagnostic data from home over t'internet to the office at lunchtime today . . . remote engine diagnostics are nearly here ;-)

Excellent - if you get enough working between now and Donnie, then if you're up for it I'll take the system down and we can apply to Graeme's car to see what's what :-)

You guys are far too clever.

Fancy playing with a clapped out Porker with MS already installed and running? :thumbsup

As long as you aren't too rude about the wiring

Stone me. Times like this I feel like I don't have a brain at all by comparison ;-)

However in truth I know it's just that I am not using as much of mine as Robin and Fd are.

<bg>

Robin, nothing to apologise for re: EU2 engines, I am happy with my ECU but I imagine a club diagnostic tool will have its merits :-)

I'm too lazy to type anything constructive, but I do agree with the point above!. Get that man a clapped out porsche ... no wait, he has one already :-)

Left Sheffield on Thursday with a bad misfire. Called in at Ali's on the way north, and of course the problem miraculously disappeared and hasn't returned since. Conclusion: Either it just needed a good hard 250 mile thrashing, or it's damp related and the long hard drive dried it out.

3 cheers for Ali for having a poke around around the car anyway and doing a few odd jobs. Top bloke! Booked in for April for a service and a list of fixes.

Anyway, fixed for now. Thanks all.
