Best place would probably be from the cigarette-lighter/power socket. Could take a feed from underneath and feed it up the driver/passenger divider thing?

i took the drivers side speaker off with the facia panel and used the live for that! a lot easier to get to than the lighter socket and easier to route the cables too. i have my radar detector sitting at the rhs of the instriment blob thingy!

for the earth just undo the screw holding the dash panel to the metal frame below - this took me a long time to figure out!!

I did a bit of digging around for power sources a couple of months back when I fitted some extra gauges. In an S2 the cigarrette lighter socket is powered all the time - the best place I could find for an ignition switched +ve feed was the to the CD/Radio - simply pop the radio out to get access to it. The radio also has a separate +ve feed for illumination if you need it.

I have my Origin B2 wired to the 12V socket. I wanted it powered all the time so it doesn't switch off and loose sat. lock when in a petrol station etc. It has an auto power off function after a few mins so hopefully no flat battery.

I just ran an extension from the socket, behind the pax seat, along the pax sill and under the speaker cover. B2 is mounted on the rear view mirror.
