Drain the oil and replace it with a known quantity - check the spec from the manual and order the same viscosity from Millers. Maybe even try their motorsport stuff.

It's a sticking plaster solution (if it works) but it might keep you going for a bit longer.


Oh - and take that F'ing stupid gate off at the lever end, you might not be lined up properly to enter the gear cleanly!

My gearbox has done it for about 3 years, still to fall to bits, so I'd not worry unduly.
