I sometimes think garages just stamp the book and don't service cars before they sell them...

(I know it happened with the "problem" Elise I had a year ago, as it had been stamped by Stratstone on a Monday Bank Holiday, and I had tried to call them that day and got told they were closed and that no one was in )

after only 2000 miles the oil should still be looking pretty fresh i would have thought.

My 111r didn't use any oil till it saw the track frequently, and the subsequent rough love/donkey punches that followed!

The car has done 15K miles, whereas I thought you had had the same oil in for 15K.

I'm sure Costco does 0W-40 Mobil 1 4 or 5 litre container for c£20.00

Now that IS cheap....

I might have an unused container of it somewhere, if needed/wanted by anyone.

After 2000 miles the oil should still be nice and golden syrup coloured, if its not then it hasn't been changed. Change it if you are in any doubt...

Took it to Ali this morning, had a once over and said it looks fine...!

Kindly gave me some oil just in case and said to monitor it...

Oh and oil was a nice gold colour.

Had mine for three years doesn't use much oil at all, although I had one strange period where the oil went very low very quickly, which caused all kind of problems blown fues etc. Ali sorted this and it has never happened again.

my exige used an unmeasurabley tiny amount of oil in 6000miles....i dont abuse it but i dont drive like a granny either..


oh by the way....i wouldnt wait for a puddle under car....it will pool on undertray and be swept off while driving by g forces and air flow....
