Never tried the quickshifter, although I hear it removes the feel of getting the gear home. The linkage kit is good, although overpriced. It's really only the bushes that make the difference, all the rest of the guff in the kit only changes the feel if your existing link is fecked.

There's a dude on here (muffin IIRC) who pops in every 6 months or so and sells some much cheaper - although I think he stopped doing it.

Both are excellent IMO. Of course, if you're happy with the gearchange as it is, why bother?

I fitted the linkage kit more as a repair than an upgrade. Very impressive.
I fitted the short-shift to give my lanky legs a bit more space between the wheel and the gearknob, which worked a treat. As a bonus, the short-throw is really fast. Completely un-necessary as an upgrade, but since I've done it for lanky reasons I'm really glad and don't think I'd go back to standard again.

I've not been happy with my gear change for some time. It's not very precise between 3rd, 4rth, 5th :(

I've got them both anyway and i'm with Ali for a few hours this Friday so hopefully we can get a setup that feels good. Not convinced i need to change the shifter but i guess i can always change it back if it's pants.

Its not pants its just not necessary really, make the gearchange a little heavier too.

Ron

I have them both on the 340r and love them. Nothing better then the feeling of a tight box

I should have my car at KH next Saturday if you want to try?

I also have the quick shifter on N3 and much prefer the short throw compared to the standard one on N1.

Cheers Scotty, that would be good.

Just fitted the linkage kit with ali and its soooo much better :D All the woolyness is gone. I've left the short shifter off for now.
