hello all,
when should i get the first service (not the first oil change that lets you unleash second cam) on our 111R?
she's sitting at about 6,700 miles but we are planning a Europe trip in June so will be putting a couple of thousand on to that i guess...
i was thinking i should probably get it in for first service before we head off, does that sound about right?
cheers for any advice, f.
first service?

Re: first service?
It's due at 9000 miles or one year, whichever occurs first. Personally, I'd just check oil, brake fluid, brake pads, tyres, etc before you head off to Europe then get its service when you come back, so that it gets a good look over after the long trip and all the miles. Means it'll be all sorted for any upcoming trackdays or whatever when you get back.
With such a new car, I reckon it'll be absolutely fine before the trip as long as you check all of the above things. I'd rather spend the money to get it all cleaned up and fresh oil, etc. after the long trip than wasting the money on the service just to turn your oil black again by hooning it around Europe.
You could just change the oil yourself before you go if that's what you're worried about?
