Alarm/Immobiliser Bypass

Post by Mikie711 » Wed May 21, 2008 7:53 am

I have heard it whispered that it is possible to bypass the alarm immobiliser on the S1 Elise. The Exige bypass is mentioned in the supplement of the service manual if it's going to be used for motorsport but nothing for the Elise (unless i missed it). I did get a photo of how to do it from one of the members but it's different than mine. I have the cobra immobiliser and lucas 5as alarm from what I can tell but I might have the cobra upgrade as I have a microwave transmitter between the seats, however the horn doesn't have the key on it to switch off the alarm and the box for the immobiliser is not next to the ECU. It might be against the rear left wheel arch liner but would have to remove it to check. Not to worried about the alarm because I never use it anyway and it doesn't do anything the way it is. The immobiliser is the one I want to disable. Any help would be much appreciated.
If you do know how, I would rather you pm'd me than post, for obvious reasons.

Mike

my imob on the early s1 is in the boot you need to find the plug into it then it will become apparent

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak
