Larini & Trackday noise limits?

Post by Gooldie » Mon Jul 07, 2008 11:07 am

Hello everyone, having just purchased my first Elise a month or so a go I though I should get some driver training in a safe environment. So myself and three other friends are going down to York to do a performance driving course at elvington airfield http://www.driverskills.com/driving-cou ... wncar.html Due to do the course on Friday and can't wait my only slight concern was that they asked if the elise had a sports exhaust fitted as they had a 103dB noise limit.

My car has had a hurricane induction kit and a Larini club sport exhaust fitted and I have no idea if this will take me over or near to the noise limit, don't want to get all the way down there and get black flagged! Does anyone know if it will be okay or not? If people think I will be close to the limit I would get the standard exhaust refitted this week before I go down to be on the safe side.

thanks Euan

Cat on or off? Cat on you should JUST be ok. Cat off, it'll be very close.

TBH, I'd put the standard one back on. Would me a monumental pita if you turn up and get flagged & it's by no means guaranteed that the test will be done perfectly. I wouldn't take the chance.
