Sports Cat

Post by Mikie711 » Fri Jul 18, 2008 12:37 am

I've got my hands on a sport cat. It has a flexi on one end and unlike the original is round so can go in either way. That is flexi towards engine or towards silencer. Does it make any difference? are cat's directional or not?

Typically I think they are directional - there should be an arrow on the body somewhere. From memory, I think the flexi is fitted towards the engine. If in doubt drop Eliseparts a line and ask them which way around their one fits (I'm guessing that's the one you've ended up with?).

IF it's for an S1 the mounting flanges are directional regardless of the shape of the can . . .
