What you're really trying to do with pressures is get the center of the tyre flat with the outer and inner edges, when up to temp. Too high and the center will overheat as it will be the primary contact patch, too low and it will be too cool and the car will feel squidgy. One of the primary causes of tyre heat is the rubber tread moving around, so reducing the pressure will actually increase the heat generated. My rule of thumb is to reduce everything by 4 or 5 psi to start with, then check after 5 fast laps - you should be aiming for a hot pressure slightly less than your usual cold road pressure. Without a proper tyre pyrometer, its not an exact science however!
Also, as KH is very hard on the front left, i tend to drop that by 1 psi further than the front right....
