indeed I did not!

I had a look at the shock and even with my limited knowledge is was b*ggered. I'm thinking that might have gone first which left most of the weight on the spring (which gave in last night).

It's all those flippin' speed bumps. :evil:

How old is it - things like shockies, springs, brakes etc are all consumables and will need replacing at some point in the car's life....

It is 8 years old (with 35K miles) so probably can't complain too much. I had them whack in a full ohlins kit anyway :damnfunny
