Maybe I've misunderstood what you were saying Campbell but if you swap front wheels then the tyres will surely end up pointing in the wrong direction. Unless you have them taken from the rims and refitted.

A good trick is to swap the front tyres across the axle

...Ali beat me to it but the operative word is tyre...absolutely, switching rims achieves nowt. As Rich also says, handling can be entertaining until you scrub 'em a bit but I've done it a couple of times now and always happy with the result

I've often thought how much fun it would be swapping front and rear wheels. 175's on the rear would be entertaining. If I had a private airfield with very large run off areas I'd give it a go.
