Hey all,
I have a coolant leak spraying onto my drivers side windscreen.
I have already taken off the service panels and the panels under them jammed open the throttle to see if I could find the leak but no joy.
So my plan is to take off the front clam to have a better look, while I am in there I'm going to clean out the window skoosher system (which I think is a bit weak and crappy but might be normal).
Do any of you seasoned Elise owners have any advise for a first time clam remover, anything I should watch out for etc. or anything I should do when I am in there?
Is a 03 plate S2 111S.
Cheers for any help you can give.
Craig.

Re: Front clam removal
Reasonably straight forward - as long as you note which spacer came from which bolt (I'd screw the bolts back in a bit with the spacer on them.) Doable solo, but a helper is useful just for the clearing the car bit.
Soak all the bolts in WD40 overnight though and pray you don't get a spinner as sometimes you have to resort to dremelling captive nuts, which is a joy.

Re: Front clam removal
cheers shug,
helper already looked out, and thinking about replacing all the fixings with nice new stainless ones (thank to my work for those) but lots of WD40 will always help with any job!
I read on SELOC when putting it back on its easier to do if the under tray is removed, is this right? how easy is that and is it worth the bother?

Re: Front clam removal
Not sure on the S2, if it differs from S1 (which I've done) Best to let an S2 owner advise on that...
