Post by point n squirt » Fri Oct 17, 2008 11:44 pm

Hadent been in the car for a couple of weeks i went to start it tonight just made a rapid click , sounded bit like a sticky starter but i gave it a jump start just to try and hey presto burst into life. Now the prob is when it sits at normal idel it shows 2800 on the revs and also 30mph when at station . Soon as you move the needel moves as norm only out of sink . I take it i,ve dissrupted somthing and will need reset ? help please. Ian

This has come up before, I'll try and find the thread that addressed it...

IIRC though you turn the ignition on and press and hold the stack button until the stack light flashes. There may be more to it, but will post when I find it.

This does not always work but worth trying.

Open drivers door, push steering column reset button and turn on ignition...
