Couple of things I meant to point our earlier. This is the recommended pad for cars over 2,000lbs, not, this pad if not recommended for cars which are less than 2,000lbs.

And weight of the lardy S2 Exige, 1,925lbs. Pretty much spot on the point where the XP10's become the recommended pad.

Motul Racing 600 ...........585........421
Castrol SRF ...................590........518
Performance Friction .......550...... 284

Interesting thread, however all these temps are in degrees F. Looking at the SELOC tekwiki you get this

• Castrol Response DOT 4..............£6/lit......(Dry 270°C Wet ca170°C).
• Comma DOT5.1...........................£8/lit......(Dry 280°C Wet 180°C).
• Castrol Response Super DOT 4....£10/lit.....(Dry 280°C Wet 186°C).
• Silkolene Pro Race 2000..............£18/lit.....(Dry 300°C Wet 195°C).
• AP600.........................................£20/lit.....(Dry 310°C Wet 210°C).

• R600+........................................£24/lit......(Dry 315°C Wet 204°C).
• Castrol SRF.................................£50/lit......(Dry 310°C Wet 270°C)

No idea how current the prices are but makes interesting read with the prices attached.

I would not go by those prices Mike as i know of the top of my head that Motul RBF600 is about £12 per half litre and the Castrol SRF is nearer £40 per litre

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

Castrol SRF is what Lotus motorsport use. But you did not hear that from me

Make sure you flush ALL the old fluid out and make sure the fluid you use if ABS compatable. Some fluids are not good for ABS systems, I would check with Lotus before you put the wrong stuff in, it might cost you a lot more then £40????
