Elsie Problems

Hi have a problem with my lotus elise, any advice would really help as I have not had it long ! It seems to have lost alot of power and when reved aroung 4000+rpm there is a high pitch whistling noise and hardly no top end power ?
Due a service but not sure what to expect. Also anybody recommend somewhere to het it serviced the SE london or kent ???

Might be the air filter, did Tut not describe a similar problem recently.

Take the air filter out and clean it if you can, if it looks dirty get a new one.

also check that the throttle moves correctly, might be a knackered throttle lever. Dunno about whistling tho.

Do you have any mods? Induction kit could do some funny things if its dirty. Quick to fix though.
