My roll over bar on my S1 is a bit squeeky so I expect it needs a bit of grease and bit of adjustment.
However being a non technical sort, not too sure which grease to use.
Which type should I grease her up with

Is it not just the metal clips used to hold it on? I spent ages trying to find the creaks on mine and it turned out to be those.
Silicon spray from halfrauds is a good bet cause it wont break down rubber + foam.

The roll over bar itself is not going to squeak (it's bonded to the chassis for life). Remove rear cover and rear window and go for a drive - if the squeak's gone then that's your problem.
Like Scott says, Silicone spray or perhaps some foam pads could help, depending on what's rubbing against what.

Do you mean roll over bar or Anti-roll bar?

Could be the actual glass moving, old S1 trick is to jam one of the Cheesy Wotsit polystyrene packaging bits in between the glass and its groove!

It is definitely the rubber on the roll over bar causing a squeeking noise.
When it was in for a service ages ago one of the MMC mechanics noticed the squeeking and applied some grease around the roll over var. I think it is the section where there is a little bit of foam.
Will try the silicon spray tonight and see whether that resolves it.
Thanks for the replies
