VTPS Brake Question

Post by Edin430 » Sun Aug 10, 2008 1:22 pm

Very Technical Possibly Stupid...

Here goes -

Can someone please provide me with all the dimensions for an 05 Exige brake system?

I need to know, disc sizes incl width and diameter, how many teeth etc etc.

For the calipers I need to know piston sizes, bore sizes, and if they are lug mount or radial mount.

Can somone help?

Long story but basically need this info and don't have a clue what I'm talking about! :D

Vanes is possibly the correct term :?:

Excuse my ignorance - just repeating what I've been asked

Need to come back to this guys - any ideas?

Am I right in saying that the discs are 288mm by 26mm (possibly 28mm?) and the calipers are radial mount not lug, AP 2pot??

Personally speaking, if i was being asked for this when someone was going to be working on my brakes, id give them the car to they can measure, poke, prod and generally ensure there are NO mistakes ;)

It's more for me when ordering to make sure I have the right caliper size as they can't confirm it to me! (US company).

Got piston size, vanes, disc size, width and type sorted so all good.

Just need radial/lug mount confirmed now?

Should be radial mount - mounting bolts on leading and trailing edge of the caliper... No idea what the offset between the mount and disc centers will be though, or distance between the mounts for that matter...

I'd pop a wheel off and send them a photo to be sure though... Possibly with some micrometer readings too :)
